If you also think that way, you have to had The Barn Wine Bar to your list !

The choice of wines is vast and the waiters follow oenology courses to better assist you. There is wine for all prices and for all tastes!

Eating there is also a good idea, especially if you start to taste many wines 😉

The food is good and varied. The waiters are really nice, they will take care of you and will advise you the best according to your tastes!

And do not worry, there are 6 The Barn in Kl and around, you can not miss it. We tested those 2 that we highly recommend :

No Black Tie is KL’s leading jazz bar and where some of the region’s most established musicians have performed.

We were so happy to discover this unpretentious bar has been around for over 20 years now and is considered an institution in the city.

We really HIGHLY recommend this place. You may have your best night there ! Even if you are not into jazz so much, just go and the charm of the place and the quality of the drinks and the musician prestation will do the rest.

PS : do not forget to book !

No Black Tie

No 17, Jalan Mesui,

Off Jalan Nagasari, KL

It is the city’s tallest hotel rooftop bar, offering stunning uninterrupted panoramas of the city skyline. It is also one of the most romantic place we’ve done.

Go for sunset or at night, the view is breathtaking. We really enjoyed this little moment the two of us in a place so pretty.

The only negative thing we would say is about the food which is really not so good. It is rather disappointing in view of the standing of the place (and the price!).

So just go to have a drink there and enjoy the beautiful view.

Vertigo

Level 59, Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur

2 Jalan Conlay

Mr Chew’s Chino Latino Bar is located on the highest floor of the WOLO Hotel, this former duplex penthouse has been transformed into an inspired space for food, cocktails and of course, Instagram.

In terms of vibe and food direction, Mr Chew’s is fun, carefree with latin vibes. The menu, however, is largely Asian with just a sprinkling of Latin American influences by way of ingredients such as avocado or food such as tacos.

The food is bold and punchy in flavours, but also very cheeky.

(The item you shouldn’t miss: the Nori taco !)

Cocktails are a highlight here as well; you can expect the same inventiveness in the execution and they’re very easy to drink.

Another good thing about Mr Chew’s is that there are little pockets of space besides the main bar and dining hall. So you can move around as you progress from your pre-dinner apéritif to the meal proper and then for your after-hour night cap. Go seek out the sofa lounges by the windows overlooking Bukit Bintang or the hidden bar upstairs next to a champagne bathtub. But don’t miss the dedicated dessert bar, where you can enjoy a six-course dessert degustation menu with either tea or alcohol pairing.

It is such a relaxing place where food and drinks are absolutely excellent.

It is one of our favorite place to go in KL.

We went there on a hot afternoon. Ok, we also get there because it was Happy Hour.

But what a good surprise. Start with a drink? They have excellent wines but they also have good cocktails with a strong Spanish tradition.

Mercat buzzes with a jazzy, contemporary flamenco Spanish music ambience, and equally prides itself on its fantastic happy hours from 12pm – 11pm. Between the amazing Spanish wine list, the extensive Gin trolleys and the happy hour cocktail lists, everybody wins.

We also highly recommend ordering their amazing tapas. We fell in love. Litteraly. I can not describe better than those pictures !

I have nothing to say more than : please, go.

Mercat Barcelona Gastrobar

51, Jalan Telawi 3, KL

Pinchos Tapas Bar is a Spanish-style bar and restaurant that is an ideal place for a light, casual dinner.

On the night we visited the place was crowded but with plenty of tables, it was easy to get a seat. Salsa music plays over the speakers, creating a sultry, animated vibe and making it a great place to get together with friends for drinks.

From the outside Pinchos looks modest, but trust us, you will have excellent food !
